Cristian Gautier has worked with the Oboe Mobile Foundation for several years, and is now the director of its Oboe Bank program. He earned his bachelor's degree in oboe performance from the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music and a master's degree from Stony Brook University in New York. As an oboist, he has performed with several groups in Puerto Rico, including the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, the Arturo Somohano Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orfeón San Juan Bautista, among others. As an educator, he has taught in the program Música 100x35, at the Preparatory School of the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico and currently teaches at the Escuela Libre de Música de Humacao. He has also worked with several theater companies in Puerto Rico and elsewhere, composing music and editing sound.
