Elvis Terán began his musical training in the renowned Sistema Nacional de las Orquestas Sinfónicas Juveniles de Venezuela. In Puerto Rico, he studied piano at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico with maestro Luis Marin, participated in seminars and master classes with renowned pianists such as Danilo Perez, Edward Simon, Edsel Gomez, among others. He has toured Puerto Rico and the United States with saxophonist Roy McGrath, the quintet of saxophonist Jonathan Suazo, the band of singer Calma Carmona, where he participated as musical director, and urban artists Zion and Lenox, performing in prestigious venues such as the Apollo Theater in New York City, the William L. Harkness Hall of Yale University and the Amphitheater of the Quinta Vergara for the Viña del Mar Festival in Chile. In Puerto Rico, he has participated in major jazz festivals as part of the groups of guitarist Raul Romero "Holograma" and saxophonist Ricardo Pons "Causa Común".
He is currently developing his musical proposal entitled ELV1S and serves as Creative Director for the organizations The Reserve PR, the Oboe Mobile Foundation, where he also participates as an artist in the program Kinder Oboe and in the podcast Voces de la Montaña with the corporate motivational speaker Vicente Baez.
